Thanks again - for a modern, highly entertaining witty way of entering
Shakespeare's world. Our Year 7 - 10 students love the fast paced high
energy performances and are already wondering what is in store for them

the magic, humour and wonder of Shakespeare relevant and accessible to
students. Helps enormously with the teaching of Shakespeare and inspires
us to be truly inventive with our interpretation of these brilliant

Hamlet - Fantastic show yet again! The kids are still "self high fiving" around the school. Very impressed and will continue to book your performances. It's a great way for the kids to understand Shakespeare

Thank you all for a fantastic, entertaining performance. It is so useful
for students to experience the 'fun' side of Shakespeare, it makes
studying his work so much less daunting and more understandable. The
humour was a great mixture of slapstick and sharp wit and was relevant and
appropriate to a wide age range. Thanks again!

Awesome performance! Although a parody of Othello, it supported the teaching of the play that I had been doing with my seniors.

I have just taken up the HOD English position at the start of the year, so I 'inherited' this show. I have had experience of your shows at my previous schools (Naenae College, Newlands College and Tararua College) so I knew what to expect.
I am pleased to say that you didn't disappoint. 250- 300 odd year 9 and 10 students, all in a hall, last period of the day and no real culture of performance in the school... your cast earned
their money!

Chisnallwood Intermediate
The performance was outstanding! Both students and teachers spent a lot of time laughing. The students really enjoyed it as it was based at their level. The humour used was modern day so they understood it. Can't wait for next year!
Dannevirke High
All of the students who attended the performance thought that it was not only great fun, but a great way to start the week.
The cast was regarded as being 'three extremely talented actors' in one of
the reviews carried out afterwards. The last part of another one of the
reviews reads as follows:
"The Ugly Shakespeare Company's play was an awesome performance, enjoyed
by all - young and old. The actors were so humorous and talented that
Shakespeare now appeals to a new generation. Even the young audience
demanded an encore."
